November 10, Made it down!

We managed to get camp out in two trips by walking out and packing our riders.  Here we turn the mules loose for a break before heading out for the last leg of the journey to winter pasture.  they know its almost time for their vacation.

September 9. Packing In

Each Season we have to pack in from 6 to 10 tons of alphapha hay cubes.  The amount of time to prepare our camp for the season in the wilderness is limited to two weeks by the forest service.  So we make as many trips loaded down with feed as possible before the start of the hunting season. Because traveling to the trailhead, loading feed, and heading back to camp is such a long hard day, the mules dont make the trip every single day.
