An honest, straight forward, sometimes lighthearted, sometimes serious, sometimes gritty, video journal. It consists of short clips about our outfitting life, all meant to entertain, inform, and stay connected with hunters, potential hunters and friends
While spending some time in Oregon we decided to spring for a fur harvesters license and put out a few bobcat sets. This lion was what you call a "non target" catch and must be released. Things were a little interesting but eventually the lion ran off. For those of you unfamiliar with trapping. The traps are not meant to injure, only hold an animal. This lion happened to be held by a back toe, but at the start of the video we are removing a makeshift safety restraint from the neck and the toe has already been freed. Its just still a little wrapped up.
After hunting hard and hiking around all week in some very tough conditions Echo our Bluetick found a lion kill and started the lion on some dry ground. The dogs took some time to work the track out in some boulders but finally treed the lion. Blair was in great shape and was to the tree within minutes.
